PICKitPlus Programmers

The PICKitPlus Programmer is based on the Microchip PICKit 2 design, with some differences. It works everywhere a standard PICKit 2 works; and is fully supported by our range of PICKitPlus software tools.

Like the PICKit 2, it offers the following functionality:

- Program, verify and read 10F, 12F, 16F, 18F, PIC32 microcontrollers.

- Program, verify and read EEPROMs.

- Serial terminal.

- Logic analyser.

- The firmware protection from accidental (or deliberate) erasure or modification.

 

Notes:

- PICKit-to-go mode is not supported.

- Users are responsible for ensuring that the PICKit Programmer does not exceed >100mA current draw.

We offer two models: PK+ and PK+PI4.

PK+
	This is our standard model.
PK+PI4
	This is a special variant of the PK+, designed to work correctly on a Raspberry Pi 4. It operates around 4% slower than the standard model; but unlike the standard PICKit2 or PICKIt3, the PK+PI4 will function correctly on a Pi 4. (The Raspberry Pi 4 USB subsystem has a subtle flaw that causes PICKit2 or PICKIt3 programmers to "lock up" very frequently and need to be unplugged and replugged by hand. The PK+PI4 solves this problem; and as a bonus also works everywhere a PK2 would. Note that other models of Raspberry Pi do not have this flaw.)
